The brief was to adapt a semi-detached property to meet the requirements of a retired couple downsizing and to create a split level arrangement to provide supported Independant living for their son.
We were appointed to produce the building regulation drawings and provide contract administration for a single storey extension and significant internal alterations to a semi-detached property. The property had previously served as rented accommodation for students and the owners had decided it was time to down size and move back into their previous home.
The ground floor level introduced a single storey rear extension to create a open kitchen dining room arrangement. The kitchen was enhanced by a further bay window of which the work top extended to fill the space. Natural daylight was improved by the provision of 'Velux' style roof lights. Sanitary accommodation was provided to support a bedroom at entrance level.
Future living aspirations were met, including modern environmental adaptations.
